I don't know... I've seen people that "look" like they make a shit ton of money, and they look like that's all they do.... work. If that equals rich, then count me out. Not that I was ever "in".

      arent you like 25?
28...and thats part of the reason i ask these questions. I prefer to learn from others mistakes and keep my leg up.

But i still think about what it would be like if i were a surgeon.

Some people just love what they do and arent good at slowing down. Its incredibly hard for me to sit down and watch tv for any period of time greater than 30 minutes every few days because i hate not being productive. Its a different strokes for different folks kinda deal.

If i could go back, i would have also kept my house in frisco and allen and just paid a management company to take care of it while i moved to austin.

Oh, and to answer the original question: OTR owner/operator.

Shit, I am getting rich now, it is just taking a while. It is fairly hard to be independently wealthy and be young. The vast majority of people in that situation inherited everything they have.

Way back when, my high school auto mechanics teacher had the right idea. He always would say "all you do is marry a rich nymphomaniac whose parents own a liquor store". Probably should have listened to him more.

I kinda like where I am now. Long, hard road to get there, but the school of hard knocks was worth it.

The existing board definition for good/GOOD money is:

                            8MPG: $40k/$70k
                            ruffdaddy: $90k/$150k
lol... I forgot all about that. Well, I guess Im close to ruffdaddy's GOOD money now but not rich.

That sounds good, I'd like to do that.

Rich is also a subjective term. What numbers one thinks are not the numbers another thinks. Prior to 30, I thought that $10+mm got me an invite, with $50mm nearing FU money. Now? I just want to be sufficiently well off to travel the world and live life on my terms. I'm not sure what that number looks like yet, but I hope to at least have it figured out somewhere in the not so distant future.

I would say rich to me is maybe 250K plus a year with no expensive dependents. Enough to afford a mcmansion, second property and a few badass cars and other toys.
