He backed off at 100 because Ford trucks are governed at 96... Else I bet he would have still stayed on your ass.

As to what I would do, slow down and let him pass and continue on with my day... I ain't got no time fo dat...

so you guys are telling me that after a guy intentionally swerved at me on an FM road as I was trying to pass him that slamming my brakes down to a dead stop, attempting to block the entire road, and exiting my truck in a blind rage wasn't the wisest course of action?

I was going to pass a train of 4 cars turtling along at 5 under the limit, and after I was already coming with a heavy head of steam, he steps out in front of me, so I laid on the horn. He then SLOWED DOWN mid-pass and tried to time it so that I would have to slow down for oncoming traffic.

Little did he know that my truck is a little quicker than he'd anticipated, so after he got back in the right lane, he floored it. Once he realized that I was STILL going to get past him, he juked over into the oncoming lane and I stabbed the brakes to miss.

Once I saw red, I went ahead and re-passed him, he still swerved at me, but I went ahead and hung a couple tires off the road while passing him on the oncoming shoulder.

I guess you could say I was having a bad day.

I swear all I was going to do was cuss him out for trying to run me off the road

He drove past me on the shoulder and took the first turn-off he could.

If they swerve at me I pretend not to notice and hope they hit me. Then again I am rolling a ten year old dodge 3/4 ton that is worth about $100

Umm, he didn't ask what YOU would do. He asked what would DFWMustangs Do.

The only right answer is the challenge the guy to a fight in front of Circuit City.

I didn't have many options to exit. Only 3 exits once on the express way. Plus I didn't want to be late for work

I know. Apparently a thumbs up and waving only enrages them.

Good to know. I tried both, speed up and leave him be. And maintain speed and let him pass. Which only led to him brake checking me. Oh well, Crazies will be crazy. Just got to make sure i have plenty of witnesses.

In my experience, the cops usually take road-ragers pretty serious....if you have him on dash cam acting like an idiot, a call to the cops and a copy of the footage might be a pretty good option.

I got into one of these situations several years ago, and I simply pulled over into the shoulder and stopped...the maniac pulled over ahead of me and came out of his car with a gun pointed directly at me. I yanked it back into drive, leaned down into the passenger seat, and punched it. I almost took him out, but didn't miss his car, I severely took out his little Camry ( I was in a 4x4 Suburban)....he never fired a shot, apparently wasn't really prepared for what happened.

I eventually prevailed, but it took over 2 years, attorneys, depositions, and a couple days in court for the whole deal to be made right....I don't recommend it.

I just turn on my overheads and stop them! I think part of the satisfaction of my job is being able to take enforcement action on extreme dumassery.

Well yeah this is kind of a extreme example. Most times we will stop the offender and tell them to cut that shit out, unless they got warrants or no dl or something. Usually we quickly realize the caller was the actual fuck stick that started it.
