  • Anybody been on any DFW lakes?

Word is they are all closed and will possibly remain so until August. Any fishing suggestions?

Lewisville is still closed since its downstream from Ray Roberts, It will likely be closed past July 4th

Friend wants to drop his boat in the water, was thinking Hubbard. If it is open that settles my plans for next weekend.

Quite a few boats out on Lewisville yesterday. I saw at least 20 of the larger craft anchored near the I35 bridge.

Hubbard is open, but busy. Get to a public ramp early or pay $20 for a launch permit at a marina.

Last I heard is Lewisville is only open to boats that are currently in the water. No boat ramps are open.

This is what I heard for Lewisville, Lavon, and Grapevine.

We hit hubbard at 7:30am this morning (sunday) and it was dead. Not busy at all.

Went out on whitney and saw one other boat in 3 hours. Saw a couple large floaters so we took it easy on the Jet Fleas.

Surreal being on the lake when it's that high since none of the usual landmarks are visible.

Often in these discussions "closed" should be defined.

As I understand it the 5 major lakes in the immediate area... Texoma +, lewisville, hubbard, roberts and lavon are open. It maybe difficult to find ramps or access your slips, but no one is going to stop you once your boat is out on the lake.

Be careful out there, things change with these floods and add in debris - some caution goes a long way.
