I was briefly in Sydney but it seemed like one of those places that encourages people to hide at if you disagree with politicians so I am in Wellington today. I'll be in Foxton tomorrow and next week, down to Blenheim.

Ohh nice. I didn't spend much time in that area. I had 5 days of weather delays leaving Antarctica last year, so my plans for the south island were shot. Once I got to Christchurch my girlfriend (kiwi) and I drove to Picton (via Lewis Pass), took the ferry to Wellington and drove straight up to Taupo to pick up where our vacation was supposed to be. I did get to enjoy my time in Taupo, Waitomo glow wormcaves, and Auckland. When I leave this time I plan to do about 3 weeks around the south island (Dunedin/Wanaka) and maybe hop over to Australia just to say I have been there.

This place is beautiful, it's just very expensive to be here. I spent $100 on 2 cokes, a few V's and cereal. A box of fruit loops was $12. The only saving grace is the exchange rate is about 64 cents to our dollar.
