I get where you're coming from. I've known her for 15 years though.

She was in a violent relationship and had no say in anything that happened. Unfortunately, with scars, pictures, and police reports to prove it. He had serious control over her. I still cannot fathom how someone can be in that situation (on either side). She finally got out of it, and now she is just trying to rebuild.

The tags are fantastic by the way. The ex can't be svo, his Rolex is fake and he probably has $3 in his pocket.

Heard this story too many times. Do financed vehicles ever go well in a divorce?

I actually did ok in my divorce as far as financed vehicles go. She was driving a 2012 cruze that was in my name only. I offered to let her have it if she put it in her name. She didn't have the money to refinance and didn't want the car.

Kbb on it is 11k ish, I owe 6500. She was too dumb to figure out that she'd be money ahead to take it.

She might want to consider filing for bankruptcy. With a foreclosure and a repo plus who knows what else she hasn't told you about it'll probably help her credit and that stuff will go away.

Think so? I've pulled her credit report so I've seen everything that shows up.

What would the pros and cons be for her to file? Anyone know what type she would need to file? I know jack shit about bankruptcy. I never even thought about that as an option.

I would dispute it with the credit bureaus . You can do that yourself or hire someone that does it. Bad situation but you have to keep up with items in your name.

Your tags are about as pathetic as your existence.

Credit Bureaus don't care about marriage agreements, they are separate from the agreement made when the vehicle was purchased. Just because you're married and got divorced after the loan agreement doesn't mean you are exempt from the payments regardless of decision because you sign the loan as individuals. A divorce document has no legal standing over loans. The only thing you could do would be to take it to civil court while paying for both in hopes of gaining complete ownership.
