Anyone know somewhere or someone that can do an honest appraisal of watches and a lot of gold and diamond jewelry? I'm trying to get realistic pricing, may sell later on. Most folks I've come across seem shady as fuck.

In the buying used gold business even the good guys are all shady fucks. Weigh it yourself and you will be in the ball park for the gold. Ebay is a good place to figure out watch values if you look at the ones that sold at auction. If the stones are big enough you can send them out for a GIA cert.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

David, PM me and let me know where you're at. If I'm semi close, I will gladly take a look. If not, I probably know someone in or near your area that can give you some realistic numbers. Whether you want to know realistic selling value, or insurance appraisal value, I'll help out man.

I would hope to fuck his business is currently more successful, given that I've been open for 3 whole months.

I don't like used car lots either.
Got a question for you about your choice of a business to go into. Why go after dollars from the bottom? I try to make my money from the richest clients that I can find and give everyone else a big break. I just don't understand the mentality of business people who want to feed from the bottom.Last edited by svauto-erotic855; 06-07-2015, 08:28 PM.Magnus, I am your father. You guys feed off of the misery and misfortune of others and I rank you some where above a rapist of children but below a bail bondsmen. Your business also promotes theft by providing a venue for purchasing stolen items. I still don't begrudge you being in business but I would never support a pawn shop by doing business with one. Maybe you should think about cleaning you own pool if you have one and then you will not have to worry about doing business with someone like me.

You are one of those that thinks you know all about the business because you saw a movie from the 70s or 80s with a sleazy pawn shop.
For what it's worth, that era is (in general) long gone. Yes, I'm sure there are still a few out there that screw people. I'm sure there are plenty of pool cleaners that screw people as well. It's in every business. The national average of stolen items taken in pawn is 1/2 of 1%. It does me no good to take in stolen items. Bad reputation, plus I would lose whatever money I paid out. Every single transaction made is uploaded automatically to a site called LeadsOnline. Every single police department has access to this site. I, personally, do things by the book. Period.
I don't "feed off the bottom" as seem you to think. I am essentially a bank for those who cannot get a normal loan. Unfortunately, the average person lives paycheck to paycheck. Bills pop up in between and they need help. Someone may need $50 til payday. That's where I am able to help. Pawn apr is less than payday loans. I, on average, loan up to 80% of resale value on an item. Why? Because I'm NOT here to rip people off. I'm here to provide that little extra when someone needs it. I also buy outright when someone doesn't want their stuff anymore. I also stock and sell new items, and often cheaper than other places.

If you're willing to do that as a used car lot owner, how are you ever going to be able to be a scumbag?WH
