Any suggestions for a vehicle appraisal in Dallas? What should I expect to spend on a certified appraiser? I am fighting the insurance company on the value of the car, they are not taking the options into account and it's hurting our settlement to the tune of 3k or so.

There are a few guys out there doing appraisals, but its still going to be up to the IC to decide whether they want take the independents appraisal. You might be better off going to mediation and seeing if you can get closer to a number your going to be happy with. Contact your lender about the mediation.Originally posted by SilverbackComment

There are no comparables that I am finding, they are trying to compare it to a base and they have some arbitrary values for the options, the solar roof package on the car was $3800 and they have no value for that package, book value is 25k (lower miles), they are coming in at 21k with the milage hit.Originally posted by A_A_G View PostInterested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? My brother spent about $450 for is appraisal on his camaro.I don't know if it was a percentage or not (125k value). I can get info if you want , took about 2 weeks to complete.Comment
