If I ever get property over two acres, lawn care will belong to some goats.

I read that too, but apparently the reviews are crap. I've had mine since '07 and have never had a single issue.

as long as nothing you care about shares the same property, that sounds like a fine idea!!!

I hope you don't care about grass, fence, trees, dirt, and any inanimate object sitting in their area.

Faraday cages are goat-proof, so you're all good.

My genius stepdad decided to leave the lawn mower on their side of the fence one night.

Came out the next morning to three of them just standing on top of it, and the entire seat eaten down to the metal frame.

They also don't give a crap about cactus. They eat those too.

I'll get the grass-eating hybrids. It's the hipster thing to do.

Looks like I may want to consider Husqvarna. Their top speed is up to 7.75mph while Cub Cadet is 5.5.

That's the exact one I got. I read reviews until I was blue in the face and shopped all makes/models. I went to dealers where you can buy two of the DIY store versions for their one...etc.

The reason I went with that one is my neighbor has the exact same one, but in the 46" variety. He has had it for 6+ years and beats the snot out of it with little maintenance and the thing is still going strong.

They turn tight and on most lawns with a ZT you're turning tighter, but not MUCH tighter at speed. Also, it has a decent hitch on it, I had a guy weld some angle iron on to it and I use it to pull my trailers around too (12' utility and a 22' boat trailer - dry ground/grass only though).

Otherwise I mow ~2 acres with it, use it to pull a boom sprayer...etc..etc. It's a box store mower, but for the price it'll work. Only thing that sucks is the bagger for it - sucks like all the other non-assisted ones. The JD dealer I went to had a similar mower and their bagger had a motor to help get the clippings through the chute. However, it was 5K for that mower/bagger combo.

If you're a veteran, you get 10% off at lowes or use the coupon. I bought the little brush guard for mine too and it works well for some situations - plus the wife tends to run into stuff. If stuck in a ditch can attach a winch to it...etc..etc.

The arm rests will fall apart a little after awhile though and are more of a hindrance - so I recommend not using that as a selling point.
