No, I think your normal yard is .1x.. Then there's the cul-de-sac lots. I'm currently renting a normal sub house and I'm done in 45 minutes. My last house took much longer.

      I can look in husqvarna...

I respectfully disagree. I bought my Cub Cadet ZTR new in 2006 and the only thing I've replaced is a grease zerk and an idler pulley. Other than that just general mainenance items; i.e., blades (twice), deck belt (once), fuel/air filter, and an oil change at the beginning of every new season. I mow almost 3 acres roughly once per week. Runs/cuts great for me. I see others having problems due to lack of maintenance.

I have a self propelled mower on a .33 acre lot. My yard is bigger than most in my hood, so I see .26 and believe that is normaly.

Depends on the area I suppose.

Standard city lots used to be 50'x150', which is ~.17 acres, but subdivisions these days are an arms race, so that's out the window these days.

Thanks for the tip. They had a Lowe's code in the packet that I had to register. Said it'll take 2-3 days to receive the coupon via email.

That small of a lot... Id push mow. Even Toro has a 30" wide mower which would reduce mowing time.

1.6 acres without a riding mower would be pushing it.

The OP has a 1/4 acre lot. Hell, I mow my 1 acre with a $10k commerical Gravely mower. I also use it to mow the other property which is 2.5 acres

Read the thread. He had a .26 acre lot, he's now 1.6, that's why he's getting a riding mower.

I prefer to spend my money elsewhere too.

$2000 is getting my lawn mowed, trimmed, etc. 33.33 times...

and I pay myself no less than $200/hr, and unlike the all white lawn crew that does my lawn in 30 minutes for $60, it would take me probably 2 hrs on a good day (3/4 acre), so that's another $13k+ saved

And we haven't even gotten into the cost of fuel, maintenance, storage, etc.

Yeah, I'm out on all that.
