  • legal advice on criminal record

    Relax, no drama here.

Is a pardon the only way to get an offense off of your record?

Lets say you had an offense from over 40 years ago when you were underage that was sealed from your record that people can still somehow view. Say for marijuana dealing in the bare minimum amount. Is there truly no way to get this removed?

I thought you could get some expunged from your record, depending on the offense.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I think this answers my question. I'll have to find out if it was deferred. Sealing isn't enough.

If you were arrested but were not convicted, you may be eligible for an expunction, which deletes and destroys all records of the arrest. If you successfully completed deferred adjudication probation, you may be eligible for non-disclosure, which seals the records from the general public.

Most all JV records should be sealed from public view.

I think he was wanting it expunged and thought it was, but it was just dropped originally.

This is correct. Your original plea, and the offense dictate whether or not it can be expunged.

Expunging is the only option, its preventing them from getting a job selling insurance because certain states do not allow a felony of any kind.

It was already sealed a long time ago, but can be opened for certain types of inquiries.

it looks like it was a conviction that was supposed to have been sealed. If I can view it on public data does that mean it wasn't sealed?
