As for replacing the Twin Peaks I can't think of too many businesses that'd jump at the chance. It's a very large facility and Waco already has a new Cabelas and Gander Mtn, there is a BJs down the street, as well as a Rudy's, Texas and Logan's Roadhouse. Anyone opening would have to compete with George's Bar and good luck with that in Waco. I doubt the city would let another breastaurant open. Maybe if they gave Bob's or Del Frisco free rent for a while.
waco probably ranks somewhere along the lines of dead last in target demographics for both of those concepts. That place is way too big for both as well. It's going to cost the franchisee a fortune to redecorate. The most likely scenario is going to be TP bringing in another franchisee and arranging a buyout of the current franchisee.

The scenery is awesome, but the food is rank.

I think the time space continuum is broken for me at the TP in Frisco. That's the only one I've ever been to where the service is actually outstanding, and it's been that way every time I've gone. This applies to multiple states too.

They're in the top 2 for sure. I always forget about them when it comes to breastaraunts. I don't know if it's the BBQ or that they just aren't as big as the others.

I went to the one in Lewisville with a friend, ONCE.

                Crap food (wasn't expecting much)
Strip club rejects for wait staff.

Seriously. Guys typically go in to a place like that thinking "these chicks are outta my league". It was the other way around. I would need to be super drunk to hook up with most of the girls at that location. Never had any desire to go back.

Tilted Kilt, on the other hand, was always great. I've heard tons of people talk about how bad the food is, but I never had a bad experience. Food always tasted pretty damn good, and we always ended up with a hot waitress. (This was also in Lewisville, before it closed down).

Watching the police updates. You have to like the police sergeant. He seems to speak his mind. Got to like that!

It almost sounds like the manager of the restaurant was in with one of the MCs?

I've met Jay Patel and he's every bit as Indian as his name implies. Generally they don't get involved with bikers. Now if you look at a map there is Legend Cycles (whose owner is currently in jail with a million dollar bond, meaning he was arrested Sunday) and Harley of Waco right next to each other on the frontage road to Twin Peaks. Coincidentally the Flying J where all the cops were is between the two.

It'd be an obvious stopping point for any group of people riding motorcycles. Obviously many customers of both dealerships were regulars at Twin Peaks and it wouldn't surprise me if their employees were associated with different MCs. If you sell Harleys it pretty much comes with the territory.

I doubt the MCs had any kind of financial stake in the restaurant but the two dealerships generated a ton of business for it.

Correct. If I'm not mistaken, the entire executive team at his franchise group is as well. He's no newbie to this industry, his group has a rather large empire.

Motorcycle Clubs have zero financial interest. I think he meant one of the managers was involved with one of them, which I could see being a possibility.

Who is to say that he wouldn't feel threatened if he didn't allow the JITB GTG at his restaurant?

He might have received an "or else" type of request.

What I find odd is TP pulled that franchise location, but the police said they spoke with BOTH local and national HQ of TP. So why is TP throwing the ban hammer when they appear to have ignored the same request?

So the bakery in Indiana gets shut down for refusing service. Now TP gets shut down for not refusing service. What to do, what to do?

Corporate TP is doing the same thing as WPD.... Placing the blame on the restaurant owner. I think someone here already said this but, if the presence of every fucking LEO member in the area and SWAT teams didn't deter them, how the fuck to they expect an Indian guy and an 18 year old, 110lb, girl with a push-up bra to deter them?

Side note: Obama waved his wand and banned the Feds from selling military equipment to municipal police depts the day before this happened.
