  • I imagine there are lawyers drumming up a class-action lawsuit for these guys. I would rather do that than have to go through the BS of an individual suit. I think the pay day would be higher too when all said and done.

    • Not sure a class action would net higher. I have always heard that the lawyers are the only winners of a class action

      • Not enough people involved for a class action I would think.

        • Qualified immunity.

most states do not have a "number" for class action. depends on several factors.

              • Still find it odd, that many people, no cell videos. That many people, not one story came out about what has happened from the bikers yet. Curious what true headcount will be

                • they were mostly white people. everyone know white people run, duck and cover when gun shots are heard.

if this was at popeyes during a blood recruitment luncheon, there would be ten videos on worldstar right now.

Anyone that did get video was probably locked or held by an officer up before they could post to the net. And of those I wonder how many videos were deleted by the police once they were in lock up?

                    • I posted this on facebook, but wouldn't one be able to invalidate the "contract" on the grounds that they only signed it under the threat of extended imprisonment?

                      • If this story was cheese, I wouldn't eat it. Something does not smell right.

Oh yes. It is the very definition of "duress".

                          • Sounds like the claim that the bikers having to sign a waiver agreeing not to sue the city or county is a false claim. Rumor made up by a lying lawyer who has now had a grievance filed against them.

                            • so of the 170+ originally detained 23 are still in custody. I havent heard a peep from the others so i wonder if they did in fact sign a NDA. anyways this is the site i've been tracking a lot of this stuff on.

As of noon today, 23 of the men indiscriminately taken into custody in the Twin Peaks parking lot of May 17 remain in the McClennan County jail. Presuming that those men are innocent and considering the going rate in false imprisonment lawsuits is about $5,000 per hour of false imprisonment, each of those men can look forward to eventually getting a check from the generous folks of Waco and Texas in the amount of about $4 million. Welcome home!
