  • Has anyone spent any time in Atlanta

Flying into Atlanta Hartsfield June 1 and renting a car to drive to Hilton Head, SC. Flying home June 5th. I have my car booked from 2P on June 1 to 2P on June 5. My flight doesn't leave until 10PM. I am wondering how the public transit system is. My fiance wanted to see a few things in Atlanta before we flew out. Just wondering if it is cost effective to return the car and use public transit, or if the hassle/lack of connections to the airport would make it worth ponying up for another day of rental to keep the car until 7-8PM.

Unless you want to be "The stupid white couple that got their asses killed by black teens while riding the bus" you had best not ride the bus in that city.

Cabs are cheap there. Get to the airport super early when you leave. It is a next level clusterfuck.

              Now you are talking!

Thursday night Glock night at the Platinum Club was off the charts fun back in the day. There is also a club where all of the dances are old ladies that is a hoot but I can not remember the name of the place.

The MARTA train is fine between the airport and downtown. Stay off buses.

                      This!
It happens to be a well thought out and reasoned dissertation on drug use and a lyrical cost/benefit analysis of various kinds of drugs, drawing the conclusion that beer is the best of them all.

MARTA is fine during normal daylight waking hours.

                          This.

As already mentioned Atlanta is best seen in daylight. Nor hard to drive in unless you are in rush hour, it sucks worse than Dallas.
