  • Weird Low Flying Cessna in Hurst

Just posting to see if anyone else saw it.
(About 6:15-6:30 right above the Wal Mart parking lot in Hurst)

It was a Cessna 152\172 and whoever was flying it had the throttle all the way open at about 300 ft AGL.

Didn't look like a police aircraft or anything like that.

I hardly see anything that low around here due to airspace restrictions around DFW airport, and at that height I doubt it would show up at Ft. Worth ATC unless the transponder was turned on.

For you full time stick and rudder guys... any ideas?

Maybe someone who found themselves in class B airspace and freaked out?

Maybe ATC told them to get below the floor and exit the area?
(Although I don't think they would instruct an aircraft to get that low)

I flew pipeline in my early days of flying. We had a low level waiver and patrolled at about that altitude all over the city.

                        Or-------------------

Man, that's a solid callback that will be missed on most!

That'd be one of my first guesses. Or possibly a fixed wing traffic reporter.
