I've been lucky so far.. 5 years now... . I've had a couple problems. Yes, extremely greasy food does go thru rather quick..I can't eat the same amount of food. If I eat too much-yeesh!! Try eating small portions more frequent and you should be ok. You should be feeling better pretty quick. The worse part of my recovery was getting rid of the gas they used to blow up my gut.Natural law. Sons are put on this earth to trouble their fathers.

I still have mine but if I eat something real greasy my ass turns into a mud sprayer. People who can go eat something like some fried catfish with french fries and hush puppies really amaze me. If I ate something like that, it would be like someone put a lit stick of dynamite in my ass. What amazes me about the human body is that some people eat like that at every meal.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Last year I had pancreatitis for 3 weeks. Went to emergency room twice, both times I was told it was a stomach virus. It sucked. I lost twenty pounds. Finally on the third trip I was properly diagnosed and put on water diet. As soon as the pain subsided they took my gall bladder. The theory was a gallstone passed into the pancreas. It took a while to relearn what I can and can't eat. Now I'm back to eating like I was before with no side effects. My doctor tells me that I am one of the lucky ones to not have any problems.
Good luck with your surgery and just take your time and experiment with small amounts of food to see what you can tolerate.
Oh yeah, they go thru your belly button with the camera and that pain will suck for a long time. That's why you can't drive. Standing up, sitting down, anytime you use your abs is really going to hurt. The pain meds didn't do shit for me.sigpic
