I'm not a vette hater, but the later model ones that I've ridden in were... well I'd describe the interiors as junk. My boss has a 2008 z06 with less than 40k on the odometer. Car looks new inside and out. Well, except for the parts of the interior that are failing/have failed. The glove box door is bowing out in a crescent shape (not horrific but noticeable) and the doors and door panels just feel cheap. I certainly wasn't impressed, I damn sure would expect more for the kind of money they want for those things. A lot more.

And it gets worse the further you go back in year models.

Twice I pressed the clutch in and it just decided to stay on the floor. Once all the electronics just went nuts and it wouldn't start at all, and the last time the engine just cut off on the way to Waco and had to get towed.

Towards the end the car wouldn't hold a charge at all (constantly had to pop the trunk via key and jump it) and wouldnt read either of the fobs. Had to plug the fob into the glove box even with new batteries.

Also, look up ls7 problems to see how sweet the engine is.

There are good, bad and shit with every make and model. My C5 was a great car. Only thing that was ever an issue was a DRL popping about once a month.

They're unique. F body, mustang, GTO, RX8, etc all have a similar feel to them. My C4 feels like iron mans armor, you don't drive it, you wear it, like a 3K lbs go kart.

A chick I know just traded her '14 mustang GT with 13k miles because of front end/steering problems, brake problems, and it had the worst tire noise. Multiple trips to the dealer and half a new car wouldn't fix the issues so she bought a Honda.

I never had any issues with my 08 Z, but after reading countless post on the corvette forum about LS7 horror stories I went and took out the GMPP extended warranty.
