Same problem I ran into, mine has gone up 25% in the last 3 years, but up until oil tanked houses all around me were selling in days for more than what mine was valued at, so they didn't want to hear it.

Move to the ghetto, problem solved.

Ours went up $22k between 2013-2014 but most likely because we are located right next to where they are building the new city hall building(the old North Hills Mall parking lot)

I protested when I bought my foreclosure for $165,000 and remodeled it.

They tried to get me at $200,000 but I went down with a ton of photos of "things that were still wrong with it" and they settled at $170,000

This is in Keller, so I know they will get me some day. It's a nice neighborhood.

I leave my tan solar screens on year round so they can't look in the windows. I also don't make the yard look nice from Jan - May as that makes the house look worse.

Edit: Just checked, they didn't touch me again for 2015. So that is three years in a row. Just leave random wood out and don't mow your yard for 4 months. Problem fixed.
