Whoah, that blue car is damn near perfect. Wheels look great, Shelby front end looks great... the only thing I'm not feeling is the 1/4 window non-scoops, but that's minor. Those wheels take it to the next level though.

Best looking 05-09 I have seen, and I don't really like that body style either.

Good point, I'll agree with that.. It is good looking for what it is.

Man, I liked the S197 ever since the concept cars came out. It was a throwback to the look - and feel - of the older cars.

I can see that, and some are ok.. Just not my favorite, by any means. When they added the hips in 2010, that seemed to make the biggest improvement to me. I really like them by the 13/14 body. Back to not really liking them for 15.

I had similar feelings, I didn't liked them at first, but I saw a black one with porno red interior at the State Fair and ordered one. I also bought a '09 GT with the glass roof, I regretted selling that one, but my '12 5.0 has really made me forget that car. I like the 10-12 body styles the best. I know that might sound bias but they look better than the 05-09's and the 13-14's just don't blend right from front to back.

I agree H, I think I might end up with an 11-12 instead of a 15 when I buy my next one.

I thought that only the front changed from 10-12 to 13-14. I guess I never noticed the diff between my 14 and the 10-12

I always liked them since they first hit in 05', but I never bought one b/c of the 4.6. At the time they were a huge improvement over the new edge cars, which in reality were just a refined version of an old platform that was already a refined version of an even older platform.

I couldn't hold out any longer after the 5.0 became available, though. Always liked the front end of the 10-12 cars and the rear of the 13-14 cars....I really did like my 13', and I often miss it. However, having owned both now, I can say that the 15' is again a pretty big improvement over the previous platform.

For the money, I think these earlier S197's are a pretty good option for a DD or a younger driver that wants something sporty.

The 13-14's have different front and rear bumper covers and lighting. While I do like the tail lights on the 13-14, I do not like the front and rear bumper covers. As a matter of fact I hate the rear bumper cover on the 13-14's. I can live with it in SVT Cobra mode since the dual exhaust tips are to die for. Other than that they are the same car, I think I read somewhere that they did some re-tuning to get a few more ponies out of the 13-14's but other than that they are the same car...

Cool, I'll have to watch those videos.

For my money, while I like them all, every iteration of the s197 got less and less attractive. Not majorly, just not to my preference.

The 2015 on the other hand is pretty close to perfect. I'm just not in a place where I'm comfortable buying a car that stickers for $42k. Not saying it isn't worth it, just too rich for my blood.

I have seen some 15 GT's going for that much, but I have also seen my fair share of low $30's. EB versions can be had for mid $20's. I guess it depends on what you want or can afford, but they have prices all over the place. IMO I don't think you can beat the performance of a 5.0 and IRS to boot. I drove a EB last week and it was felt very refined and when you mash the pedal that thing was moving for a 4 banger. I can only imagine what it feels like with a few mods...

Several people are buying new GTs for just under 30k.

My uncle (yes, Gary) bought a Performance Package Ecoboost (15" front brakes, bigger radiator, 19" Z wheels/tires, track apps, etc) for right at $25k.
