Is this the BBQ where Don puts his meat in your grill?
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Real BBQ isn't as big in San Antonio as it is in the hill country. I'd argue it's way bigger in DFW than San Antonio.

You should head to Luling or Lockhart if you want good Texas bbq near San Antonio.

As many times as we have been to San Antonio, we never had BBQ there.

I am smoking a chicken, baby back ribs, sausage and a round steak on the grill today. That doesn't help you but it sure makes me look forward to tonight.

Or detour to the original Coopers in Llano.

Are they the same Cooper. She has been to the one in Llano before.

Usually the original location is the best, but one exception was the Bodacious chain in NE Texas. The old Sulphur Springs location on the S side of I-30 was clearly superior to to the original outlet on the S side of Mount Pleasant near the chicken plant.

In regard to BBQ in SA, just go to the Buc-cees in New Braunfels and call it good.

True. You could take 29 from Georgetown to Llano, and then cut back to 281 from the Round Mountain cutoff (never go all the way back up 71 to Marble Falls if you're headed south).
