And imho, its really better to just buy new unless you are going to fix it yourself. The repair costs are high, and it never fails the appliance just dies of something else next year. Now after that next repair, you're 3/4 of the way to just buying a new one. Not worth it. This is why I've just taken up a "buy new" policy when they fail. They're usually old and ugly by that time anyway, and since it something in your house, its nice if it looks good.
