  • Reputable appliance repair in Mckinney area

    Samsung firdge on the fritz, any recommendations for a reliable repair person. The one I usually call said hes booked up 2 weeks

    I've started fixing my own appliances. Parts easy to get here locally and its easy. Especially if you know how to turn wrenches.

      How old is it? I had a Samsung TV that was out of warranty and they fixed it free of charge anyways. Their customer service is top notch.

          Uhhhh, no. I said "MY". I was doing the same thing, hiring people and when I watched the repairman fix a few things I was like I can do this shit. Sears outlet in Farmers Branch has a large warehouse full of all kinds of brands, not just Kenmore parts. And with YouTube now you can watch a video to fix just about anything these days.

                    A couple of appliance parts/repair places that I have been going to specifically said to stay away from Samsung.

                        The problem the repair guy explained to me was this...When he's got an issue with a Samsung, he doesn't have any tech support he can call and parts are a booger to get. He said for my issue, the first echelon response according to his computer was to replace the main board. $350 parts. Then that might no fix it. He was honest and said, it wasn't worth ending uo spending upwards of $500 to fix it.
                        On the other hand, he said if he has an issue on the American brands, he can call a tech line and get lots of assistance and parts are easy.
                        He made no money telling me to go buy a new one..

                        That said, the wife picked out a Whirlpool that has a Harmon Kardon stereo with blue tooth .. WTF is this world coming to ? $2400 at Lowes, delivered and installed.
                        So, If anyone wants a FREE Samsung and wants to eff with it, I'll have the deliver boys leave it in the garage and you come get it.

                            coil getting frosted up. There's supposed to be a defrost mode. It's not doing that. The fridge gets cold enough but the freezer only hits 25 degrees.
                            It will stop working eventually if not fxed. It's a single compressor system, so you cant just shut the freezer off
