  • I will be the first to say comcast customer service is the worse maybe in the world....the rate cut they offered me though with no contract, for now it makes economical sense to stay. I just called twice threatened to drop them both times bill went from 195 to 116$

      • Well, I cut the cord today with Charter. Bill went up $40/month since I am no longer a "new" customer. Told them I was done and cancel everything. So, really all I want is internet. Any updates now to what has been working best for you all?

        • Spectrum, internet only. Much faster speeds than u-Verse was providing and relatively cheap at $36.01/month.

I think I'm paying $50-60 for the 50 meg plan. I need to see if they have any current offers

"Extreme Internet" at $59.99/month with a $25.00/month discount. No doubt the discount will eventually disappear, but right now the 50 meg plan is delivering speeds just under 100 meg. I bought my own modem and router so there's no monthly add-on charges for those.

I did the same. Was the discount a sign up promo?

                  • Yes, u-Verse had become extremely slow and I liked the option TWC offered of using your own compatible modem.

                    • Yes the $65/month plan was for the 100mbps. Guess its not that bad of a rate.

                      • I'm about to tell AT&T/Directv to take a flying fuck. I'm capped at 18 or 24mbps, my bill is constantly fucked up (and ever increasing), and I don't even watch that much TV (especially outside of football season).

I don't know you waited this long.

                          • I cut the cord a few months back. Now its just netflix I guess. Charter for internet. Its nice saving $120+ per month on something that I barely used. The price just doesn't reflect the value. Even with all channels enabled... I'd still get maybe $10 worth of usage out of it every month. Did that for a couple months just to see if I'd like it. Of course that's like $260 per month.

                            • I turned in my cable boxes Saturday. I'm using the PS Vue service right now on 2 Roku boxes, my PS3 and Chromecast. The only channel I've noticed I don't have is Esquire but Charter killed it already anyway. Their DVR function blows away Charter and their on demand stuff is way easier to find and use and it seems like there is more content.

We got DirecTv Now, but mostly for my wife to watch her shows, I watch it maybe 2 times a month. I dig BUZZR, 27-3 local, the old commercials crack me the fuck up, and the shit they say that is no longer politically correct is greatness!
