Works on our Amazon Fires around the house no issues really.

I had sling and it sucks compared to Vue. Sling took too long to render, and the quality is hit or miss
Wait, so you stream Vue thru the Firestick, or does Vue still need a Playstation? Is it in HD/5.1 surround, or is it 2 channel audio like Sling?

Holy shit, VUE is apparently the same as my first extreme package for $55 a month, including all movie and sports Channelshoes.

They also have a 75+ option for $45 but you lose movie channels. The cheapest is $39 and you lose sports. Buy a media server I guess to prevent buying multiple consoles I guess, though this would interrupt my black ops 3 experience so maybe buy a second console and be done.

From what ive seen cutting the cable hasn't matured enough if you're a regular tv/sports watcher. Networks are at war with "select what you want" providers, which is why they're being priced right into the same ballpark. The real problem boils down to just about every Internet provider also being a tv provider.

We went all streaming a couple of months ago. I love it, but haven't found a solution for Cowboy games. I might just start going out to sports bars to watch them. That's been fun in the past.

Also, check out the Fan TV app on your phone. Great list of where to find your favorite shows through the different streaming services.

Just hook up an antenna to your tv and watch the games.

Yea, if you aren't worried about DVRing, fast forwarding, pausing, etc. Just connect an antenna. I put a Yagi antenna in the attic for all our TV's. Its old school but its something.

yes, you don't need a Playstation for Vue. It works on most devices now via the Vue app. Except Andriod smart phones

Playstion Vue almost completely solves the sports problem. Locals, all ESPN channels, all Fox Sports channels, Golf, etc. Hell with their ultimate package you can even get Outdoor and Speed/Velocity too.

So, when you drop cable, keep Internet, factor in Internet price increase with bundle discount removed, and the price of your streaming service, how much are you actually saving?

Be nice to the members here who host Plex servers and you won't need a streaming service.

I'm saving about 80/mo due to not having cable any longer, and not needing the boxes/dvr rental fees.

I pay for 150/150 FIOS, and Playstation Vue. I don't count Amazon Prime, as I pay for that for the shipping and the shows are free

I use Plex with Media Center Master for downloading new shows and movies, so I have no need for Netflix, Hulu, etc. I also have Kodi on two FireTVs for other random stuff, but really don't use it anymore.

It really depends on who your service is thru. A lot of bundles are pretty cheap compared to say,FIOS internet with (Ugh) Frontier, and TV vsa DirecTv. I hated the bundle/service when we had Verizon, so we dropped the TV portion and got DirecTv. Dropped that, and have been using Netflix (already had that with DirecTv) and Amazon Prime. Plus we bundled home phone and internet, so it is a little less, but we need the landline for the fax/business shit.

Considering my fios is $280 (extreme hd, 25/25mb, 4 stb, 1 dvr) I'm estimating about $100 a month. Guaranteed money on the boxes, $10 per hd box and $16 for dvr box so that's $50 a month.
