No shit, I have an unopened complete set of 1988 Topps that are worth less than what I paid for it in 1988.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I think I have 5 or 6 years worth of the Topps set from then unopened as well as the extended sets. I have extras of the '85 set which was loaded with quality rookies plus the US Olympic team. I bought enough cards back then to assemble the set the old fashioned way instead of just buying the set as a whole.

See post 13 above, and yes, I have at least one of the original ones (which is worth less than the corrected ones).

The corrected versions were worth more than the original. I could be wrong, but I believe the squiggly line one was the highest value.

On a side note, I have somewhere around 20,000 cards that I WISH were worth some decent change. Most from the early 80s and up, since I was born in '83. I keep hoping that one day someone will give me money for them. lol.
LOL. I've got two myself, one graded and one raw.

I still have quite a collection of multiple sports, I too did a lot of buying and selling. It was always a risk but sometimes worth it to buy upcoming rookie players best cards low and hope they have a good season to sell high. I've made quite a bit over the years but it's also tedious depending on you're methods.

I've currently got a Lionel Messi Autographed card BGS 9.5 on ebay right now with many offer at $2K or above. I'm also about to sell my 86-87 Fleer Basketball Set every card is graded a PSA 8 considered to be the best set of all-time due to the rookie class.....Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Isiah Thomas, Patrick Ewing, etc.

LOL. Nice hidden message. Still not gonna work. But, you could offer me too much money for another Nolan Ryan. That might work.

I looked up your card. Very nice. I see why they dinged you on the sig cause the "L" isn't as defined as the other two cards similar to yours that got 10's on the sig.

Your PSA 8 complete Fleer 1986 set should fetch quite a nice price as well.

Looked at buying three 1986-87 Fleer - Michael Jordan - Chicago Bulls - #57 - Rookies within the past 24 hours. 2 out of the 3 were legit.

Found one in Bossier City, Louisiana at a Pawn Shop for $300. I should be able to double up my money easily.

Bought another one today at the card show in Plano for $425. It was in a little bit better shape. Again, I should be in the green with ease.

I really thought it was going to be hard to find those cards raw that were legit, in decent condition, and for a reasonable price, but it has worked out pretty well for me so far.

Definitely gotta be cautious with those that are ungraded, so many fakes out there.

Yes, you do have to be careful, but there are guides to follow to know if you have a legit card or not.

                              I used this:

A guide to detecting counterfeit 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan cards, including logos, card features, and Michael Jordan's Bulls jersey.

Again, 2 out of the 3 I looked at were legit and bought. The one that was a fake I spotted pretty easily within a few seconds after things started not to match up or be there.

Just got back from Beckett and it is a mighty fine day today.

I got a 6.0 on the pawn shop MJ RC and an 8.5 on the card show MJ RC.

I had about $750 invested in both cards and should be able to clear around $2k with both sold.

                                Cha-ching!
