We recently moved out to the country and the house hasn't had a mail box until now. The house has been there since '97. We've turned the card into the post office so they will deliver our mail to the mailbox but getting stuff shipped thru UPS or FEDEX is turning out to be a pain in the ass. The wife has had a few things "out for delivery" 3 days in a row before it made it and I just made an order with Summit and they didn't recognize it as a valid address. Is there anything else to do or should I get used to it?

Did summit cancel the order?
They might have same shipping system we use, which is tied to UPS's system of recognized addresses. If possible call summit to tell them to have the shipping employee force the shipment though, even though their software doesn't recognize the address.
In the meantime get used to it.

Additionally your house may not be accessible to the delivery vehicle, and a mailbox on the side of the road may not constitute a good delivery point
You may also want to contact Fedex/ups and see if there is any information that you can provide to help their system and driver locate your house. example having coordinates that can be plugged in to Google maps
