Where do you see that? It looks like $249/night, but maybe I'm missing something.

It's there right when you pull it up:

That's crazy. When I click the link, it pulls up $249/night in that same spot. Your phones are trying to screw y'all.

I don't know how to do a screen shot, or I would show you. Heck, I clicked around and can't get it to show what you're looking at anywhere. Go figure.

I stayed at the Marriott City Center in downtown last time I was there. It was nice and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and bars.

Oh, and for the record, I would never pay $700+/night to stay in that place. That's fucking stupid.

I'm looking at it on a computer, not phone, which likely makes a difference. Try changing the dates (the link makes it next week, but if I change the date to today, it goes down to $299 a night).

Yeah, anything over $600 a night is ridiculous!

Yep, just tried it from my work computer, and it shows $699 for next week.

Screw that. Even at $249, I was on the fence.

It didn't even have a helipad. Do they think I'm going to slum around in a limo, rental car or *gasp* public transportation?!?!

What's ridiculous is Aloft (in Houston by the Galleria, anyways).. They charge $200+ a night and their rooms look half finished. I mean, I understand they are going for a "modern" look, but half of the room is unfinished concrete, and the places that have paint or carpet look like they just laid it down straight over the cement. Unfortunately I am sometimes stick staying there because it is an "approved" hotel for work, and at times has the lowest price on the approved list.

$249 a night for a downtown area Hotel is pretty much par for the course, unfortunately.

I paid a decent bit more than that for the room we got, but I did see a bunch for less than $200 with good reviews.

Advertised price, or out the door? I ask because of all of the other nonsense they tack on that typically isn't included in the advertised per night price. For example, last week in Houston my room rate was $162 a night. Then another $28 in taxes, and another $16 a night to park put me at $411 for 2 nights. Ugh..

I've never stayed at an A loft before, but will be in a few weeks in New Orleans. Good to know. It's brand new, and the deal was good considering it's during Jazzfest. Most everything else was either booked, not big enough, or rates were retarded.

You're complaining like that was money out of your pocket.
