  • Does anyone happen to be driving from Houston to DFW Friday?

I have about 70lbs of crawfish I need picked up. Looks like my wife is going to have to drive down and pick it up instead of the arrangements we had.
Figured its a longshot but maybe someone could use some gas money.

There's no Fedex in Houston?? or does shipping cost outweigh the fuel and time involved to pickup in person?

Im not sure any shipping company would ship live crawfish and do a great job.

We had some shipped from Louisiana to Abilene a few years ago and they showed up just fine. But as I recall the price was kinda high because they had to be overnighted.

Do you have an address where they need to be picked up from?

We send an 18 wheeler to Houston/Katy every other day.
I can see if the driver wants some beer money for the weekend.

Will we get invited to the cook out if we figure a way to get them here?

You know you can buy it at a pretty good rate from the HEB in Granbury, right?

Im paying $2/lbs and they're all large. From what Iv seen at the local grocery stores you end up getting a mix of small/med/large. I think I got a pretty good deal. Guy at my church has a friend in Houston that sells them as a business and is giving us that deal.

Doesnt look like we have any trucks coming up to DFW over the weekend.

I could probably get Forward air to ship them up for free, but then you run the risk of putting them on an LTL trailer. Usually if you slap Live fish labels on stuff they tail load them and are fine...but....

I'm heading back up on Tuesday.

                              God bless.
