        I'm not sure if this is the same people, but I remember an article about two dudes breaking the record. They inside of the car was basically spare tires and fuel cells.

                      I think the article said they had NASCAR style fuel cans. Some things in that article make me think it's a 4/1 joke.

                        I thought so too, but a Nascar pit stop takes 15 or so seconds with 2 of the 12 gallon fuel cans. It is within the realm of possibility.

                              Sure would be more believable with some pictures or video instead of "wait until next year". By next year people will have, for the most part, forgotten about this claim.
