I called a buddy of mine to go snatch a shotgun for me many years ago. He called back later and said thanks for the heads up, it's a great gun, and he went ahead and bought it. We're good enough friends that I laughed and called him a no good SOB and that was that.

Couple months later, he was my best man at my wedding, and my wedding present from him and his family was that shotgun.
