  • Looking for a good 1/2 Impact

I found a thread for cordless impacts but looking for Air Impact

Looking for a good quality impact. Currently have an IR2100G that just isnt strong enough for some things.

Any brand recommendations? Looking on Amazon the AirCat 1150 has really strong reviews but my mechanics say they have had a couple and they are crap and dont last long.

Ir 2135ti is the back up to my cordless, but you cant find them new anymore. One of the other techs at my shop has the 2135timaxx and my 8 yr old never rebuilt impact is still stronger than his so im iffy on that one.

Husky. I've beat the holy hell out of mine for over 6 years and haven't had a single issue with it.

I have beat the crap out of the electric 50.00 one for years. I bought it to see if I would like electric. Kicks the shit out out of my air impacts and still going strong.

I've seen this run head to head against the IR and beat it. Price point is generally lower than IR.

Most 1/2 impacts are worth their weight but you have to have the proper PSI or they won't work worth s fuck. I did buy a 1/2 electric impact for quick wheel removal at the house, works just fine for busting off lugs without firing up the compressor and waiting for it to fill up and having to put up with the noise...
