  • Sirius Satellite radio subscription deals?

So anyone had success in dealing with Sirius Satellite lately? They used to offer a 3 year deal but now it seems they only want to sell a 6 month or 1 year deal. They ended the lifetime package a couple of years ago, or so they say.

Taxs and all I spent 107 for a year. Is there better deals?

Retailmenot shows 6months for $25. I may reactivate it in the truck for that price..

I just called and spoke to one of the customer service representatives. told the girl that I saw something in the mail for 6 months for $25 and after she had to "check with her manager" it was done in 5 minutes. Then I set a reminder in my phone for the day before it auto renews so I can ask for this deal again or cancel.

            You got taken.

They will always start out with a big number when your service first expires, but just keep saying no thanks. Once they think you are going to walk away from the deal, they will offer you the 5months for $20 deal. And you just keep renewing under the same terms.

I always let them charge me for the full subscription ($190). I then promptly call them and tell them that it is too expensive, and that I would like to cancel. The price is then reduced to $70 for the year, and the other 120 is returned to my account. I know that there are better deals out there, but $70/year is reasonable to me.

Another option, (the one I will choose for any car I intend to keep for a substantial time, 5+ years) is the lifetime $379 option.

Maybe but I was content with it for now. I wasn't renewing as it was the first time for me to ever have it but the actual cost was 89 before all the b.s. taxes.
