Is there a way to get a credit check without being signed up for 15,000 gimmicks? I don't even care if I have to pay, as long as it was a one time fee and thats it. I've been paying off debt for over a year now, and I'd like to see what my credit score is from doing that and from using a credit card and paying off the full amount every month.

Anyway that's something else I was curious about. Places like that seem to be able to check it really quick with no gimmicks. Perhaps that service could be used.
I went to my bank branch a few years ago, and unbeknownst to me, they signed me up for a recurring $12 per month. They said it was just going to be a one time deal, and I had hell cancelling it. This was Bank of America, if that tells you anything.
I'll give the one suggested in this thread a try.

When it comes to being up to date, IIRC they all run 3 months behind. The credit Bureaus. Can't remember the reason.

What's with all the recommendations for him to sign up for those revolving monthly credit monitoring services? Sounds to me like he wants a one time deal. Hit up myfico, pay the deal for the two major reports and call it a day.

I wonder ...Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
