I had to submit a proposal to the city of Fort Worth about the cost effectiveness of nitrogen filling stations. Long story short is that none of the nitrogen ffilling stations on the market produce anything higher than 95% nitrogen. That number goes down the longer you operate it due to all of them running a coalescing filter. I talked with a large tire shop owner that was using nitrogen. He said that all of them are junk and the best ones out there produce an average of 80-85% nitrogen. He had 250 gal canisters of liquid nitrogen at his shop and regulators to fill tires. Cheapest and most cost effective. With that said, nitrogen filling tires is a waste if time and money.

I own a nitrogen generator and would have to disagree with you. Maintenance free for about 15 years

Worked with a guy that said it made his truck ride smoother and faster. He also called his "elliptical trainer" his "epileptical trainer"
I think his point is that the fish got low balled, fucked in the catfish asshole and you paid half price. The worst part was the fish explaining to his fish friends why his asshole smelled like redneck

I'm in the process of buying two tires from Discount Tire with the free air and I just don't know if taking it to the dealer for nitrogen is worth the hassle. I mean, we've been running free air for decades...what does nitrogen do different?
As already mentioned, just do air. Although places like Costco, the price is baked in.

Ultimately though, when my tires are low - I just fire up the compressor and go to town getting them back in spec. I think most people just end up with air in their tires after awhile anyway.

My dealership adds nitrogen to every car and they still change air pressure. For kicks i put it in my car and I've had to add air when it goes hot to cold quick. Its not worth the money one bit

It would be mine. I own a nitrogen generator for personal use. If you ever meet me this is not out of the norm.

I can also explain many other benefits of nitrogen 4-10% percent increase in fuel economy. 30-40% increase in tire longevity (age). I only have to check air in the tires every 4-6 months.Nitrogen does escape just at a slower rate due from the molecule is larger. I primary like to use nitrogen in trailer tires. Trailer tires usually rot before there used up. The air we breathe is 70% nitrogen 29% oxygen 1% other gases.

I'm not trying to sell anyone on nitrogen the cost is way to high to make it practical. Is it a better product the answer is yes. Jay Leno user nitrogen in all his cars as well.
