  • Snow Days/Bad Weather Days - Tipping Delivery

I'm not jew when it comes to tipping, and on days like this, I probably tip more than I think most do. I just ordered a $16 pizza, and tipped $10.

For anyone else who orders delivery on a really shitty weather day, what are your tipping habits?

Tremor/NayNay need not reply, we already know the answer. Just Kidding.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I work valet and most people don't change the way they tip on ugly weather days. Unfortunately I was reminded tonight by working in this shitty weather.

IMO Valet is different than delivery. I mean, I know that you are out in the crappy weather, and that sucks, but the idea is that on deliveries, you are likely having it delivered because that you don't want to go out into the crappy weather yourself.

Yeah that makes sense, but the idea is that on valet, you are likely using valet because you don't want to go out in the crappy weather yourself.

                      I thought this was dfw?

                      400% on any normal day.

On foul weather days, I go full on Mr. Miyagi. I tell them to pick any vehicle in the driveway and hand them the keys.

I tried to tip $5.00 on top of the delivery charge, they guy wouldn't take it? Said he was the manager and he had a lot to deliver and had to go. The order was $21.xx I gave him $25.00 even and then to told him to wait I was gather up another 5 spot, I need to at least leave some positive feed back.

Though they did fuck up my order the time before...

Tipped the Chinese delivery guy $15 today. He even called me and thank me after he realized it. I was a delivery driver when I was 18 so I have some sympathy for these folks. Going out on a shit day and getting stiffed will ruin the rest of your day.

My boy took a valet job to make a little extra cabbage, he made $300.00 in two days, 5hrs. each day. He usually only makes about a $100.00 a shift, so not bad considering the weather.

I've always overtipped because I've been there and remember how much I appreciated a random big tip
