This does not stop scamming the system by any means either, the people who can cheat the system will still cheat.

Of course it wont stop them, but thats not what they care about. They have two sources of revenue in this, the first comes from not having to make the stickers. The second is coming from the dealers, they're straight up fucking us with this bullshit. I don't know how many used cars were sold with an inspection older than 6 months, but I am betting it's a ton. All of those are going to have to be reinspected, giving more $$$ to the state.

Considering the cock suckers that run this state already tax us six ways from sunday, I'm not amused by this latest bullshit.

Inspections should have gone away ten years ago. Mississippi is the latest state to try to get rid of them completely. What a fucking waste of time. I read somewhere that less that 6% of cars fail for any reason and it is even lower for purely emissions testing. Nationwide, mechanical failure is one of the least likely reasons for vehicle accidents, with driver distraction being number one.

At least this is a step in the right direction, they will no longer make the stickers and it won't be long before they just say "Fuck it".

So, what's the fine if you're caught without an inspection?

You can't get your registration. Hope it's just 1 ticket instead of 2

Makes sense, harder to get new voters over here if their cars can't fudge on the inspection.

Welp, the Cobra inspectetion expired in Feb (2/15) and I got it last week. The registration also runs out Feb. (2/15). I guess I need to go get my Registration today as to avoid all the bullshit!

It's not anything to be avoided. Just one less sticker on your windshield

There are going to be a lot of unregistered trailers running around

I've never had to get a trailer inspected. Is it only for heavy duty trailers or all trailers?

Any trailer rated for 4500 lbs and up is supposed to be inspected, but no one does it. Now you won't be able to get a registration for one without an inspection, so I figure lots of people probably just won't register them either.

I've received 5 of these letters so far for company vehicles and trailers, this one is for a tandem axle bumper pull trailer.

I renewed mine today. My inspection expires in May. So do I need to re-inspect in May, or just wait until prior to my registration renewal next year?
