a tuned gti is faster than a tuned EB mustang, and about 10 grand cheaper, AND gets much better mpg, AND looks better, AND has a larger back seat, AND has rear doors...

the EB mustang is the middle of the line Mustang
the GTI is the middle of the line Golf

so there, the comparisons are made, equally.

bottom line, Ford is on the crack pipe. They need to be at 25-29k loaded to make their pos car worth while.

I have an interest in both vehicles. To tell me I can't compare the two prior to making a purchase is ridiculous.
I never said you couldn't, I just said it wasn't an honest one as they aren't direct competitors.

Yall motherfucks need to read what I'm saying and not what you think I'm saying.

    A $25k gti looks a shit load better than a $25k mustang.
I got it. My point was a mustang after the rebates, even as a base model, outperforms the Volkswagen in every performance category for real world drivers. I am talking v8 for only a few grand more.

They are both two acceptable ways of comparing vehicles.

I personally prefer the ecoboost mustang, even though I would not get as much for my $ except for things that feed my personal taste. I believe for the dollar value, the GTI would be the better purchase.

yet the ecoboost is not the base, and the GTI is not the top tier golf either.

I understand what your saying, but to me and everyone else the two compare together, its simple, price and powertrain are very similar.
