  • Cobb Tuning reviews?

Anyone use these guys before? Ive heard of them for years, just never was into mail order stuff before... Since no one local wrenches on BMWs, Im thinking about trying their tuner, and then driving to Austin for a front mount and full exhaust and reflash later in the year. Any good or bad news from them? Not looking to blow my motor up...

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Clownshoe (mad respect) and autoscope do good work on bimmers. Personally I would go jb4 instead of Cobb, until RKtunes does n54/55 stuff.

        Edit.........check out RKtunes!!

Reasons? I was gonna go Dinan, but the Cobb makes about the same pwr, has the cool handheld to swap back to stock of I go out of town etc amd cant get 93... Dinan is also 2100 vs 895...

Check edit and call RK. Why? Because he is the best (better than NickG IMO). Cool thing is, Jordan will tell you what the best option is and I Believe he is going for the fastest 335i in the country right now, lol.

From what I've gathered, the two advantages of Dinan are drive ability being a full reflash, and warantee, there is much cheaper hp available. I'm leaning towards "wasting" money on the Dinan tune for the warranty alone, being that it's a new vehicle. Warranty off the table, it wouldn't even be in consideration.

Rk has to have the ecu, its my wifes daily, cant have the car down a week or more waiting for the mailman.

Jb4 has a bunch of install work, not looking to hard wire a new ecu in... want something i can switch back and forth easily if needed. That said is the Cobb tune a pos? Friend of mine said they will do a custom tune if I drove there, would that be more worth it than the stock tunes? I dont like how they drop boost up near redline... gives good pwr under curve but less gains up top than could be achieved by leaving the boost psi alone. My gti tune was like that, it felt slower at redline than it did when it shifted. Not into the diesel truck feeling!
