Anybody ever used Costco auto to purchase a car

Really thinking of getting back into a Vert, miss not having one for the last couple years. GV Ford will be getting me a price, but went to Costco today and thought, Hmm, wonder what their service is like? Anyone ever used them before, or know someone who has? Good/bad experience?

I haven't, but I've used them for travel and didn't have any issues.

They have a website to go to, but to find a local Costco dealer, you have to fill out a form and submit it. I don't wanna get called/email spammed (even tho I'd use my spam Hotmail address) just to find out they suck, LOL.

I have not but I do use the costco auto website for 15% off parts at the dealer, and just got $25 off safelite windshield install.

Also I use costco travel for rental cars, usually cheaper and you get a free second driver. (My wife drives me around when I drink)

I decided against it. I felt like it seemed costco was getting a cut and that one could likely negotiate a better price in person.

Also as mentioned above, you'll basically end up at Internet sales and at that point there is no benefit to me.

I've priced things using Costco before and they usually give a pretty decent deal, but not the best. I've gotten substantially better quotes from truecar.com

My stepdad used Costco to work a deal on a Dodge Ram. It stickered for $46k and he got them down to $30k even.
