  • Auto flex vs D&M leasing...

Looking into leasing a car but was wanting first hand experience from people that have actually leased with either of the companies pros/cons.

    TIA

I like the D&M guys. They've treated me and a couple of others I've sent to them great.

honestly, you can probably get the same deal at a dealership. What are you looking for? I do consulting for dealerships so I have a lot of connections in DFW.

I do also have a contact at D&M that used to work at one of my stores in DFW.

I never dealt with autoflex, but I had a major issue with D&M where I almost had to sue them. It's a long story but here's the cliff notes.

In 2008 my wife's co-worker's husband leased cars there and we knew them personally so I called him up and he got me a great deal on a TBSS that I traded my 350Z in on. He tells me that my first payment will be like $150 more than we agreed on but it was just due to some fees or some BS. He also leased cars to 3 other people I work with at the same time cause I told them what a great deal he got me... He delivered all the cars to us at work, and we signed papers there and he told me my copies would be in the mail to me, I knew him somewhat personally, we'd been out to dinner before and I had no reason not to trust him. He then quit the job and I suppose they left town, never saw them again.

Turns out he scrapped that paperwork and turned in new deals afterwards forging the signatures, and my payment was almost $200/month more. D&M as well as Wells Fargo basically said tough shit, we have a contract and it looks like it's all legit, there's no way he could have made the numbers work that he was telling you, where are your copies (that he never sent me) but that it's normal to not get those copies when the vehicle is delivered and they should have in fact been mailed.

The contract they had was clearly not my signature (same for all my buddies, same effing for them) and after threatening legal action and dealing directly with the president of D&M they did manage to put me in a used lease return truck that I liked, at what was actually a good deal for that, but I couldn't keep the TBSS and my 350Z was long gone.

In the end, the president at the time (Joe Grabber I think) made it right, but man it was such a horror story that I'll never do business with them again.

pretty sure the guy you are referring to was my old neighbor...skipped town after not making house payments for 12 months - yes, 12 months! I know he had a short stint at D&M...
