My brother has had 20+ speeding tickets in 5 years and not one is his record including a 112 in a 60 (fort worth) and a 90 in a 45 (south lake). Traffic attorneys DO work and fairly cheap. Then you pay the ticket and do defensive driving (25 dollars and you can do it online and do stuff around the house as you come back and click through it.

I'm probably over thinking this but if my citation reads "alleged speed", does this mean that the rate of speed I was moving at is an assumption? I mean, if I was clocked going over the speed limit, shouldn't the speed I was going at be certain? Idk. Maybe all tickets say alleged speed. I just noticed that I have to pay more because I was moving at a certain mph over the limit. Man, it's been a long time since I got a ticket. I plan on applying for deferred disposition and I like how my tickets states that if I plan on going that route, ill have to pay my fine and a SPECIAL FEE. I guess that the fee for DD.Last edited by A+; 02-06-2015, 05:09 AM......bro....

This has been covered eleventy trillion times already. You can do deferred yourself, but the attorney is still the best choice.
A traffic attorney will typically charge you $35-60 to get you deferred adjudication, AND they will get your fine amount REDUCED, usually by at least that much. And, most of the time, they will ALSO get the probation period reduced (30 days instead of 90, 90 instead of 180, etc). Another advantage is that you can take this route multiple times in a single year. If you do it yourself, it's only available once a year in that city (or county).
All of that, plus you don't have to show up in court. I've always been able to handle mine in minutes over the phone.
