    LOL at all the heros jumping-in and helping. You would probably end-up drowning due to a panicked passenger pulling you under while freaking-out. But hey, go ahead, I'll call 911 from the bridge.

      You don't like swimming in raw sewage or industrial pollution?

      The Keelung River is heavily polluted by both raw sewage and industrial pollution from illegal industry. The restoration of the natural river is on the agenda of the Taipei City Government, Taipei Central Government and several citizen organizations.

          I read a news story today that said the right engine went to idle, not flame out, and they inadvertently cut power to the left engine... Pure pilot error.

            Oooops, He panicked. If the right engine went to idle, it failed, or a component that controlled the motor failed. That is why we do not touch the controls until acceleration altitude.

            That varies from runway to runway, but usually 1500 feet above field elevation.

            Even then we have a pre-determined litnay between pilots for this type of emergency. Better known as call-outs, every lever, every switch is verified before movement.
