    That's like saying mutation will never happen outside of a lab, or that all mutations stick. Mutations happen all the time in nature, particularly in insects. The vast majority of new mutations don't lead to much immediate noticeable difference in a population.

          We already move mosquitoes all over the globe. Ships dump their ballast tanks almost indiscriminately.

              Maybe I am an outlier but I grew up in NE Houston where you got bit every time you went outside. Over the course of 18 years living there I became immune to the bites, heck most of the time I don't even feel them bite me.

                If there is a chance to keep dengue and chikungunya out of here, go for it. I've seen what both of these diseases do and it is horrible.
