That's right get your out and check this out.
On the way home from Sam's club today, the truck (2011 F150 lariat ecoboost) decides to start overheating. The display read that the temp was maxed out. While slowing down to pull over, there were two loud pops, Los of power, rough idle running low rpm's and the check engine light came on.
The truck went in on Dec 21st for a new engine under warranty. It had run so low on oil that motor developed a loud tick and chewed up. Ford replaced the engine under warranty, and after saying it would take about ten days, it ended up taking a month. Every day we called, they kept saying "one more day, we need a gasket", or "one more day, waiting on parts."
The day we got the truck back, on the way home, they called to let us know that they forgot to put the engine cover back on and that we could come pick it up. Another trip up there.
Last Monday, I went to use the a/c and it was blowing hot. Another trip up there.
Yesterday, i was about to detail the engine and noticed that they left off the entire skid plate underneath, the long large rubber flap that is underneath and left one under the hood torn to pieces. Another trip up there. They said they are ordering parts.
This comes after bring the truck in months ago for an oil change, it took them 4 hours just to bring the truck to the back when promised "it will be done shortly". This is also after having to bring my Taurus SHO back 3 times because they left the passenger side mirror loose, retaining pins missing from the cowl, loose trim, paint chipped off the bumper and runs in the paint. They also manage to horribly swirls the car up with buffer holograms.
I don't know if it is just my family, but we have spent over $500,000 at this dealership and have nothing but issues every time. Does anyone elsenhave these issues as well? When I talked to the second manager in charge, the one right below the general manager, about the paint and trim issues on the Taurus, he told me that my car will not be normal after a wreck and they have the best service department around. They did eventually make thenpaint right though.
So the saga continues, and now the truck and interior smells like burnt ass coolant. Matthew Lang was the mechanic.
