Man I wish Saltwater Willy's in Grapevine was still in business. They had mudbugs for $3 a pound on Tuesdays. The owner would send one of his guys to Louisiana to pick up a truck load.

I think I'll just have my own crawfish boil this year. Either get with one of the Dallas distributors or drive to Shreveport to pick up a couple hundred pounds. Then make a church event of the whole thing..

Keller is having one as well. The boils have gotten better and better every year! Just a little expensive, is all.

I will buy crawfish from these guys a few times a year. Very good--- not cheap.

Everyone is always shocked at the high price when it's this early in the year. It never fails, people complain. I don't know if they have short memories or what. But this happens every single year. You pay a premium early in the year for mostly small bugs. Prices will come down in a month or so.

I found out last year (the hard way) that I have developed an allergy to crawfish. They were good though, but not worth the allergic reaction.

If anyone needs crawfish, I'm in Shreveport Monday thru Friday and live near Kafuman, wouldn't mind picking them up in S'Port and meeting on my way home.

Live mudbugs for less than $5 a lb. in Lewisville. These guys usually get lower as the season progresses. Last year their prices got as low as $2.50 a lb. Just keep an eye on them..

I have some friends/family that are from NOLA and the surrounding areas and I will eat most everything they cook. Absolutely delicious dishes, but some things I just won't put into my mouth and mud bugs fall into that category...
