  • Cable internet, who do you have as your provider?

I'm shopping around, but I can't seem to find anyone with a better price than Time Warner Cable.

I used to have Charter. I got rid of them when I moved to an area offering FIOS. I was reasonably happy with them but I had a few untimely outages with their service. I've heard they have been doing better in the customer service area lately..

Yeah welcome to America where you don't get a choice. If you have TWC there won't be another cable provider.

I have TWC and Charter at different properties. For $49.99 with Charter I get 60/6 service, with TWC for $61 a get a wifi modem and advertised 15/4 but it's really 8/1.5 most of the time.

AT&T has Uverse in both places and it's anywhere from 6-12 for slightly cheaper but with a data cap.

I've looked online at ATT Uverse and their price is way worse than TWC for similar speeds. Do they really cap you at 250gb/month?

I hate TWC's customer service (or lack there of) but it seems I dont have any other choice. Comcast and Verizon aren't available in my area.

AT&T Uverse has Data Caps? Fuck! I was thinking about leaving TWC when I found out I can get Uverse at my house now but screw data caps. I'm online to much

It's a soft cap, casual users don't get bothered but if you move around terabytes of data every month they can cut you off or charge for the extra.

I guess I'm stuck with either TWC or AT&T for service. Verizon, Comcast, and Charter all with better prices are not available in my area.

I have Uverse cable and internet. Cost isn't too bad and if it goes up I call and complain and they put it back where it was.

I had TWC for years but they screwed me and when I went to an office location to talk about it it got real ugly and the police were called. I will never willingly use TWC again, fuck that shitty company.

I had charter's 60mb down for $62 after taxes. I never had any issues when i purchased my own modem (Motorola Surfboard eXtreme Cable Modem SB6120). I don't need the modem anymore and will sell it. I have moved and now use Centurylink..

Uverse, I have downloaded a buttload of stuff in a month and never had an issue. I guess if you work from home or something and move huge files all the time I would see a cap being an issue. I have never had an issue.
