CAC? Why haven't they recalled this for previous models if that's the true fix?
they have :
1.All new EcoBoost F150s manufactured after Sept. 18th,2012 have received a redesigned CAC (charged air cooler) that addresses the moisture build-up problem.
2.Beginning early next month, Ford will issue a TSB that instructs dealers to replace the CAC in any EcoBoost F150 that’s suffering from this problem with the redesigned unit.

Derp. I knew it was the intercooler just not what the acronym was.. Lol at condenser, I guess that'd be the problem huh
unless you just love the styling, i'd get a new 14.. they are offering really good deals, and there are tons of them sitting on the lots.
and im with Jason on the 5.0 being powerful enough, i drove the EB and was not impressed. coupled with the fact that i plan to keep it for 150-200k miles, i need it as simple as possible for longevity sake
That was the original plan but I'm really digging a lot of the new features on the 2015 including the 2.7 EB.
I've got 19k on my 2013 Supercab STX. 5.0 with 3.55s and I'd buy it again. Seeing what they go for now glad I got mine when I did. under 25k out the door with tint, bedliner, and wheel locks. I drive mckinney to irving every day and average 17+ and on long highway runs I can get low 20s for mpg.
The STX didnt have the option for EB but I wanted the 5.0. Love the sound of it with an original 40 series flow master.
Most places will sell it for $2499. It comes with everything needed for installation so nothing else to buy unless you want a camera or Sirius, etc. With other headunits, you will have a kit, data module, antenna adapter, steering wheel control module, etc so the price is not out of line especially with a 9" monitor. We have done a few GM 9" and it looks awesome in the dash.
BTW, have you guys noticed the discounts on the 2014 trucks? I was looking at Grapevine Ford's site and they have over 105 listed and some are discounted as much as $12000 when you count the conditional rebates like 'trade in' and 'loyalty'.
It's tempting since I could move into a 4x4 but I really would rather have a 2015. That truck just blows me away. I hope they have some big discounts at the end of this year.

Pretty damn nice but also very expensive Although I guess you could recoup some of the cost by selling the stock HU.

I'll have to go check it out although I'm sorta holding out for a 2015 as well. Just curious but why do you prefer the 2015 over the 2014?

Well I have a 2012. The 2014's really aren't that much different. Just some cosmetic changes for the most part. The only reason I could see doing that is to get a 4x4.
The 2015 is a huge change. The cab is significantly larger despite the weight cut. I was also very impressed with the ride of the new 4x4 over my current 4x2. That 2.7EB engine was also impressive. Beyond that are lots of little things that I liked..

i was told that the loyalty rebate was only if your TRADE was financed through FOMOCO. i didnt get it for just trading another ford. but also there was weird rebates per model line, the xlt and stx had rebates that the FX2/4 trucks didnt. not sure how legit it was but thats what my buddy (who is still just a car salesman) told me. fwiw i still got close to 8k off msrp

A LOT of those rebates don't apply to most buyers. I was doing some searching on their site back around the end of December for a buddy. Sure it looked great on the surface, but IIRC only 2 out of the 8 or so listed would have applied in his situation, and accounted for around $2000 off vs the advertised $8,000 off.

Said buddy mentioned above didn't get the Loyalty discount/rebate either, and he traded in an 08 F150. He was told the same thing by the dealer in Houston he bought from. His trade in wasn't financed through Ford, so it did not apply.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.
i financed this one through ford. i'll only be trading it in for the exact same thing 5 years from now. these trucks are perfect for me and my family's needs.
I would like the 5.0 with stock looking exhaust, but larger diameter, like 2 or 2.5"
Anyone make a chip for the coyote in the F150?
Filter, muffler, larger exhaust pipe (same bends, just larger)
