Ours was locked up in the supply closet and we got to get into it on family day and when we graduated.

That's Army though and it's far from secure. You'd think on a training base in a drill sergeants office something would be safe but there are a dozen plus NCOs in and out of there every day plus civilian contractors. If it's something valuable leave it at home.

Thanks guys, great info. I've already to my brother I'll be joining him at the graduation. I'm really proud of my nephew. I'll get him a nice cash gift card. can't see him buying anything important for a while. I wonder where he will go after boot camp.

@ktm300 that sucks! I felt bad for the guys who didnt have anyone come, we had quite a few.

@DCS13 is he going to San Diego? If so he will get 10 days leave after boot camp then report to Camp Pendleton for either School of Infantry or Marine Combat Training if he's not infantry. From there he'll go to his respective MOS school

It took 2 minutes for the response to be "hookers". While the answer is certainly on par with the first answer expected out of dfwmustangs, it was an awfully slow response.

Best to wait till he goes to his school/training after boot camp. He will be there longer and be able to take things with him.
