and putting discounts here, that are meant only for this site, making them available to any google search, would only hurt their overall business and would end up meaning no more deals for us. This is why we do not post the numbers.

You obviously reached out to Stone to get the good deal you are deriding in your post so you did think you could recommend dad, or at least negotiate on his behalf. If only you emailed like they asked you to, you would have had the good price no hassle deal you wanted for him.

I'm sure Tony and Stone would love your business in the future.

I don't disagree, every other major active automotive forum has ads pop up everywhere.

No protest, again grapevine ford has the best and most interactive website, best marketing on cars.com, best prices, most vehicles, and I used all of that to our advantage when we purchased our car locally. So basically I had no reason to contact them further than this forum to see if it was worth a drive and 3 weeks with no site activity was my answer

my truck was purchased at westway ford. I would have gladly gone to GVF but the sales manager at WW is a good friend and we were able to work the deal out through email with no haggling. We set up a standard set of values, he'd text me a pic of the actual truck and i'd yay or nay it. When i showed up new years eve he had 3 trucks for me to drive and i picked the one i liked the most.

It has nothing to do with whether we like Tony or he likes us... I've never bought from him, personally. However, I would assume you would have at the very least called if you were serious about buying from them. A phone call definitely helps more so than a PM. Your mileage may vary.
