So 10 divided by two does not equal 5?

How is that a win lol

They are choking everyone into more expensive plans. Im planning to switch to Tmobile in April when my contract ends. Whats the benefit of not giving it up?

They've been trying to get me out of it for years now. Every time I get a new phone, I get a BS line from a JR sales rep saying "well, you'll have to get a new plan, blah blah".
        Nope!

I'm grandfathered with unlimited as well, and they always try to trick me into changing plans. They're Jack wagons.

They share the data and his wife doesn't use all of her 5 GB.

                Tl;dr

The ftc won a suit against their throttling, they said they'd stop it later this year and the fcc is gonna try to have data providers reclassified to be like voice service.

ATT wins when they go over 10gb one month.

That's cool I guess for people with a single plan. I'd rather save the extra $600 a year and have my wife and mother in law be able to share 20 gigs a month. Prior to me switching to the next plan, I had unlimited, wife had 3 gigs and MIL had no data.

I also have wifi at home and work, unlimited data is pretty useless for me now days. Now I just wished AT&T would do what T-mobile did and allow your music streaming to NOT count against your data.

I saved over $100 per month by switching from the unlimited to the 10 GB plan. We don't use over 5 GB on any given month, so why pay more for what you don't use?

If you don't use that much, it doesn't make sense to stay, but at the same time, they've done a spectacular job of training their subscribers to not use much for fear of being penalized via throttling or overage charges.

I'm on an unlimited plan and I looked into getting a tiered plan to check for a cost savings and my bill would go up. I am still on an unlimited plan.

The difference is with AT&T that is shared data in a plan being rolled over. With T-Mobile it is not, it is data on that line.

We are going to back our 15gb (Doubled to 30gb) back down to the 15 gb $100 plan next month. We have 5 smart phones and have not went over 7 gb's in a single month over the last 12.

So under those circumstances, they should give it up?
