    What degree, finance/accounting?

You should sell frozen steaks, I hear they make great money if you work hard.

Hydraulic engineering and sales. Not a bad gig in my opinion.

Agree with Strychnine, upstream is boring.

Fuck that shit! Front end manager. Mostly what I do is handle upset customers.
Now especially with the Dallas County bag ordinance in effect. I see worthless pieces of shit getting for $500 worth of groceries for free "EBT" bitching about a couple dollars for bags. About 50% of them do not buy the bags. Instead they'll take whole shopping carts. sometimes two and three loose just like that out the door. Fucking heathens.

I have a friend I graduated from residency with who worked in an ER in Cincy. She made ~$350k per year. She just moved to Tampa making significantly more.

Not NEAR enough, for what they have to do! I would think that different regions pay much differently than others. I would also think it would depend on how easy it is to get a qualified person to live/work in a given area.

As for the Midwest, there is definitely a shortage of doctors. Or, a worse shortage than the rest of the country, I should say. So yes, most of the jobs tend to pay higher there than your more popular locations. Even in Ohio, Columbus pays a good bit more than Cincinnati, so it just depends.
    Cool, thx.
